Biarritz is the ideal starting point for many excursions. During your stay, you can visit :

THE BASQUE COAST "CÔTE FRANCAIS" :

Biarritz: the Port des Pêcheurs, the Rocher de la Vierge, the promenade of the "Grande Plage", the Casino, the Côte des Basques, the lighthouse (panorama).

Saint Jean de Luz (12 kms): The Place Louis XIV, the Church, the Port, the bay, the Pointe Ste Barbe (panorama), the rue Gambetta (pedestrian street).

Hendaye (20 kms): last town before the border with Spain. Beautiful marina, large beach.

Bidart and Guéthary (6 and 8 kms): small Basque villages located between Biarritz and St Jean de Luz, typical for their churches, fronton.

Bayonne (5 kms): the Vauban ramparts, the Gothic Cathedral Ste Marie, the cloister, the very commercial district.
